We've spent 20 years on the tools as locksmiths and the last 5 years fitting smart locks. We kept seeing the same thing: locks that weren't made for Australian doors, sold by companies that never install them. Guardian is our answer, and we look after the installation too.

  • 1 in 5Australians don't routinely lock their doors.2
  • 1 in 3leave a spare key outside for someone to find.3
  • $210–$525for one emergency lockout call-out from a locksmith.4

The part most people miss: if someone walks in through an unlocked door or uses a hidden key, there is no forced entry. Some home insurance policies may not cover theft without forced entry. Check your own policy.

We stopped hunting for keys at the front door. The kids use their fingerprints and I use the PIN.

The installer swapped our old lever over, set everything up and walked us through the app before leaving.

We have a security screen and were not sure it would work. ProShield answered the same day and it went on the main door behind the screen.

Let the plumber in from work using the video intercom. Did not have to leave the office.

We got the pair. Guardian on the front door and Mini on my home office. My parents have their own access so they can let themselves in when they mind the dog, and the inside screen is handy for checking who is at the door.

  • Josh M.

    Canberra, ACT

No more lying in bed wondering if I locked the front door. It locks itself.

  • Sophie W.

Took a few minutes to set up face unlock for everyone, but now the whole family uses it every day.

Our cleaner has her own guest code now. So much easier than hiding a key.

Installation photos

Two rechargeable batteries, physical backup keys and an emergency USB power cable

What happens if the battery runs flat?

Guardian runs on a rechargeable battery and warns you well before it runs low. A physical backup key and emergency USB power mean you are never locked out.

USB power only wakes the lock. You still unlock it with your face, palm, fingerprint, PIN or keycard.

Questions before you choose?

Rated 4.9/5 by 630+ Australian homeowners

Still unsure? Call 0432 831 893 or email info@proshieldau.com

Does it need Wi-Fi?

Guardian uses your home Wi-Fi for the app, video intercom and remote opening. Face, palm, fingerprint, PIN, keycard and the backup key all work right at the door.

What if the internet or power goes out?

You can still get in at the door with your face, palm, fingerprint, PIN, keycard or the backup key. If the battery runs flat, use the backup key or emergency USB power.

Is it secure?

Guardian auto-locks behind you with 4 deadbolts. In the app you can see who has access and remove a person or guest code at any time.

Can I let a visitor in when I am not home?

Yes. See and talk to them on the video intercom in the app, then open the door from wherever you are. Or send a guest code that only works for a set time.

How many people can use it?

Up to 100 users, and each one can use face, palm, fingerprint, PIN code or keycard.

Will it fit my door?

Guardian suits most main front doors, including ones with a knob, lever or long handle, and doors behind a security screen. Not sure? Use our quick door check, or text us a photo of your door before you order.

What warranty do I get?

2 years on Guardian, with local support. Professional installation adds a 5-year workmanship warranty.

How fast is delivery?

Delivery included Australia-wide. We dispatch from Australian stock in 2 to 3 business days, then courier time depends on where you live.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days if it is unused, uninstalled and complete. You can open the box to look. You pay return postage and there is no restocking fee. Your Australian Consumer Law rights also apply.
